They optimize efficiency, yet cannot spontaneously interrogate why optimization matters; they can deconstruct complex moral dilemmas, yet cannot bear the weight of choice—for to bear means making irreversible decisions amid uncertainty, and owning their consequences. When AI can execute virtually any given objective to the extreme, the value of human existence shifts from "solving problems" to "defining which problems are worth solving." We are no longer the sole cognitive laborers, but have become legislators of meaning—anchoring, among countless optimizable paths, the trajectory compatible with dignity, empathy, and responsibility. This existential bearing cannot be delegated, for it demands that a subject choose in full knowledge that the choice may be wrong, and carry the moral weight thereof. This is precisely the boundary technology cannot transgress, and the core of what it means to be human.
